Quilted Cherry Sideboard

67 “ wide - 18” deep - 42” tall

      The Cherry in this sideboard was steamed prior to drying. Steaming both darkens the wood and evens out the color differences between sapwood and heartwood.. The frame members and the trim are all made from California Walnut. The drawer sides and backs are solid curly maple. They are dovetailed front and back and have aromatic cedar bottoms. The interior of the cabinets on the ends are curly maple and each cabinet has an adjustable shelf inside.

      The piece is finished with polyurethane varnish, sanded and rubbed out by hand.
